A step-by-step guide on how solar works and what to consider before getting solar.
1. Solar Panels
Solar panels absorb sunlight and harnesses free solar energy.
2. Solar Inverter
The solar inverter converts electricity generated by the panels into safe and stable energy.
A battery is optional and it allows the storage of excess solar power for later usage. You can also send excess energy stored back to the grid when fully-charged.
Excess solar power generated will flow into the grid through the meter. It also calculates how much excess you send back to the grid.
5. Grid Network
Excess solar energy generated will be sent back to the grid. This allows you to get feed-in tariff which will be credited onto your electricity bill. Your solar power system will also consume power from the grid if it does not produce enough.
Things to consider when getting solar
Our network of installers will customize your solar power system to meet your energy demand and to suit the type of rooftop you have.
Here are some things to consider:
Is your roof facing south or east?
Where will your roof be shaded and for how long?
Roof size and structural integrity
Does your roof have enough space and is it sturdy enough to hold the panels?
